What tools to change your enduro tyres yourself?

Whether your motorcycle is equipped with air chambers or foam bibs, changing its enduro tyres is a recurrent operation, which requires being well equipped with good tools so as not to quickly turn into a nightmare. A pierced air chamber, a flying tyre remover, damaged rims or a panicked biker, lead kneading can happen quickly when it comes to changing your tyres.

With the right equipment, the operation will be much easier than it seems. With a little practice, it should not last more than 15 minutes!

With a tyre machine, changing your tyres is no longer a constraint, it becomes child’s play!

In recent years, the Tire Machines They have become more democratic and are no longer reserved for pro pilots. It is quite possible to change a tire without a machine. But if you want to avoid a nervous breakdown by changing your bibs: invest in a tire machine. Convenient also if you do not have a dealer next to you or simply want to save a few euros by not paying for the assembly at a pro.

Let’s take a look at the best products on the market together.

Tire removers

The choice of tyre disassemblers is essential when you want to assemble or disassemble your tyres yourself. It is imperative to select quality tire disassembly. They must be made of forged steel and cut from a single piece. For a good lever effect and a better grip on the tyre of your motorcycle, the tool must be at least 24 centimetres long.

The use of Kit of 3 professional tire release levers (2 x 350 mm + 1 x 240 mm) will be enough for you to assemble and disassemble your tires. If you want to make your life easier, especially to mount foams more easily, it is advisable to use 5 tyre removers.

Removal of Michelin tyre type “FUSIL” 380 MM:  It is a bit expensive, but it has been the best tyre remover on the market for many years. Very solid, practical, unbreakable, the Michelin Fusil is THE disassembled tires to have absolutely in its toolbox.

Kit of 3 tyre removers: price placed and interesting quality for this kit of 3 (2 lengths of 350 mm + 1 yard of 240 mm)

Tire grease: to maximize the longevity of your enduro foams

Using tyre grease makes it possible toprevent the foam from overheating and donations from deteriorating prematurely. Moreover, foam manufacturers always provide a grease tube for mounting foam in the tyre. If the manufacturer's grease tube is enough to successfully mount the bib, the amount provided is too small to grease the bib well and ensure its longevity.

When you buy a new foam bib, manufacturers always supply a small grease tube for mounting. If this tube is usually enough to make a bib assembly, the amount provided is too small to make several changes. If you want to save money, the trick is to buy tyre grease in larger containers.
