How to properly strap and secure your motorcycle on a trailer or in a truck?

Whichever model you choose, we recommend that you use at least 4 straps to secure your motorcycle (2 at the forward-drawn handlebar or lower tee, and 2 at the rear-drawn oscillating frame or arm). How to strap your bike alone?

Use a front wheel lock: As soon as the tire enters the hoof, the bike (enduro, cross, trail or track) remains straight alone. You can then serenely hang your two front straps on the handlebars and then your two rear straps without risking dropping the machine.

Why should a fork block be installed?

When you tightly compress the suspensions with the straps to stabilise the bike, the pressure on the oil and air weakens the spi joints (especially on high-travel suspensions). The fork block comes between the tire and the mudguard to stop excessive compression and prevent harmful rebounds during the journey.

How many straps does it take to transport a motorcycle on a trailer?

Ideally, four tension straps should be used: 2 pulls forward at the handlebar or fork tee and 2 pulls backwards at the frame or swing arm. This ensures perfect multidirectional stability.

Is it mandatory to have an anti-theft device during transport?

Legally not, but insurance companies almost systematically require it in their exclusion clauses to cover theft on trailer or in a vehicle. An SRA approved anti-theft device connected to the chassis of the trailer or truck is essential to be compensated in the event of theft during a stop.
