Theclear screen (transparent) is the absolute reference for enduro in the forest and on rainy days, as it allows 100 to pass % of light. TheIridium screen (colored mirror) filters UV and glare, it is reserved for very sunny days on cross-country terrain. Technology screens (such as the Prizm at Oakley or HiPER at 100%) are so-called “contrast screens”: they filter specific colours (such as blue) to bring out the earth's reliefs, mud and texture strikingly.

Should you choose a mask with “Roll-Off” or “Tear-Off”?

The Tear-Offs are thin disposable plastic films that are stacked on the screen and torn off when they are full of mud. Fast but polluting, they are banned by the FFM and the FIM on many enduro competitions. The system Roll-Off is a transparent film film mounted on two boxes on each side of the screen. By pulling on a zipper, a clean film covers the field of vision, and the dirty film wraps on the other side. It is the eco-friendly and efficient (albeit heavier) solution for extreme mud racing.
